Secluded, away from the traffic and noise, yet only a 5-10 min walk to the many local amenities, eateries, supermarkets, educational facilities, shops and the main highway. There are a large local/continental style bakery, an English speaking pharmacist, a supermarket, a fruit supermarket, a hypermarket, Greek tavernas, Chinese restaurant, 24 hour newsagents, and a full menu take away restaurant. 3 minute drive to the seafront and Tourist beaches. Apart from the main Limassol sea front areas, including the tourist maintained beaches, there are few superb beaches all within a 20-30 min drive which have their own characteristics. These include Ladys Mile, accessed via an off the track road , through sand dunes and the dry summer salt lake. The beach here is extremely shallow and clear. The beach at Kourion is a favourite with children who enjoy splashing into the large waves. A golf course and bird sanctuary are located off the main highway midway between limassol and Paphos. Troodos mountains are 1 hour's drive away - great for skiing in the winter. |
